Harbor City Services is a self-sustaining social enterprise with two main goals: to generate earned income by providing services to customers and to accomplish a social aim or mission. HCS is successful at both; it has generated over $600,000 per year while meeting its mission to “create vocational opportunities, treatments, and supports for individuals with mental illness and substance use.” A workforce of 16 permanent and 15 temporary employees provide four key business services: document management, data destruction, general warehouse services, and commercial moving. This medium- sized enterprise now has 275 regular customers, including prominent medical centers, law firms, and social service agencies.
If you are in the Baltimore Metro area, please give us a chance to show you what good customer service is like at a fair price.
"The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do."

This quote defines the essence of Wishadoo! It also defines me in many ways. Years ago, as the idea for Wishadoo! took shape, I was driving along, thinking how some people are always wishing, some people are always doing...and there are many of us always wishing we could do, and then do more.
I'm taking the opportunity today to tap into the spirit of love, open-heartedness and the power of a heartfelt wish to offer you a Wishadoo! video Valentine – sent from my heart to yours – which you can then send to as many people as you would like in the form of an e-card. Please click the lovely winged-heart image, by Wishadoo! member, Molly Rice (please *like* her Facebook page!), to see the Valentine video card; you can send to others if you are a Wishadoo! member.
I'm also asking for your help.
I am coming to you, virtual hat in hand (which, for anyone who knows me, realizes this is very, very difficult for me to do), asking if you will please help.Any assistance you offer, be it financial or otherwise, is an investment in the ideals of Wishadoo! and the power of love, compassion and community; an investment in me; and it is also an investment in yourself and those you love.
Maybe you would consider "gifting" Wishadoo! in another's name this Valentine's Day? If this appeals to you, after making a donation (and signing into Wishadoo!), here is the perfect Valentine card to send the recipient of your generosity, inviting them to join us and letting them know of your gift offered on their behalf (or, I'm happy to send a card, informing them of your donation on their behalf; just let me know).
To those who have contributed in myriad ways and continue to do so, I thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you so very much!
And, please, if you cannot help financially,do not worry or think twice about it! Whether or not you can help financially with this fundraiser, here are specific ways you can help Wishadoo! right now:
Spread the word about Wishadoo! -- at Facebook, twitter, email your friends and family! Just sending a link to this Wishlist post is one way to help, not only my wish to help this site grow come true, but inevitably helps others as well. You can even embed the fundraising widget below in your website or blog.
Sign the petitions at Wishadoo! and send others to our Petition Page to do the same.We have partnered with Care2.com and offer petitions which are one way to work toward justice and less suffering in the world, and it generates a small amount of revenue for Wishadoo! as well. Every little bit helps.
The single most important thing you can do to help is to join Wishadoo!, if you haven't already, and be sure to give permission to be part of our newsletter, which will start very soon! It's free, easy and painless.
All of these actions are a priceless gift to me and Wishadoo!
I had hoped to have the first newsletter ready, announcing this Valentine fundraiser and outlining in a nice, neat manner all the tools and features already available at Wishadoo! – as well as let you know about all the really cool things which are just around the corner – but instead am immersed in focusing on a new hosting "home" for Wishadoo! which is neither a small nor expensive task.
Actually, Wishadoo! itself is like the foundation of a huge home that has many, many rooms...rooms of compassion where we seek to alleviate suffering; joy-filled rooms where dreams come true; rooms to gather to socialize, discuss, and brainstorm; rooms to plan and manifest what we've brainstormed about, and so much more. What you see at the website now are just a few of those rooms, some of which have already been decorated and are serving their purpose quite nicely (Wishlist, Groups, e-cards), and other rooms ready or nearly ready for people to move in and decorate it as they so choose (Marketplace, Auctions, Directory).
Wishadoo! also has garden plots that I have been working on for years, which have been prepared for seeding, and now is the time to nurture those seeds and watch them grow, both here in our online world, as well as in our "real" world, in our daily lives.
I hope you will join me in making the various rooms feel like home, and in tending these Wishadoo! gardens with love and joy, with an ongoing harvest that shall yield fruit that is also full of love and joy and all that we wish for.
I look forward to continuing this journey with you all.As always, I wish you all you wish for yourself…and more.
With Tremendous Gratitude,
P.S. If you would like to gift Wishadoo! with financial support on a monthly basis, as low as $3.00 per month, please click here.

Hello all I am asking if anyone would be willing to help pay for an educational/workshop conference it's on MARCH 2,2012.I am currently acquiring my alcohol and drug certification&work as a NON-PAID intern, therefor I can't afford to pay to go.I have been told by many that this is an invaluable experience and should not be missed. You would be able to go to http://njpnconference.wor dpress.com/registration/and make the payment directly to them before that date. You would need some of my personal information which I would provide for you. The cost is $100.
I have 5 children and in the process of raising them I missed out on an advanced education,I just want the best for my kids. Now that they are no longer infants I decided now is the time...IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO BETTER YOURSELF!!!I just don't have it in my very small budget to go.I have even asked NJPN to volunteer or if they have any grants but unfortunately they do not.
On a side note, I did have a small amount of money saved but it had to go to my heating bill as they were at my house to shut me off yesterday Please I am desperate to go.

I am posting a listing for my dear friend who is now on home hospice care and is terminally ill. She is located in NY. She needs to find a secure, loving, permanent indoor home for Bubble and Squeeks, her 7 yr. old tabby (brother and sister) cats. Recently she was able to place her 11 yr. old lab but finding a quiet good home (no children) for her two fur loved ones has proven much harder. I wish to help her bring closure to her situation and to find an honest, kind and safe home for them. Please no B Dealers apply. Please contact me for any more information and pre-screening.
EDIT TO ADD PHOTO AND MORE INFO: The female (Bubble) is a grey tabby with pink nose and her brother (Squeeks) is brown with black tabby markings. They are 7 yrs. old, spayed & neutered.
Their owner -- my friend, who is passing from this world soon -- would rest so much easier if she could find a loving home for both Bubble and Squeeks. They must stay together, as you can imagine.
Please, please share this listing anywhere you can in the hopes the perfect person -- an angel for my friend and her babies -- will contact me.

I've tried every avenue I know to get this done since five years ago and stumbled upon this site; I figured I would give it a shot as I've tried everything else, but before I go into the story, I figure it might help to know who I am.
Throughout my life I have tried to help and counsel others; whoever might need it at any specific time, to a degree, it has always been part of my own personal calling. I tend to be insightful and give answers that can get people back on the right track in their own lives, I've done this since I was a kid.
As for the story itself: My house was burned down at 17, the same year I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and Acid Reflux Disease. My parents were never big on keeping up with teeth, or teaching any children to take care of them. I began to when I hit 17 after having 2 removed from too much soda drinking and being told to use orajel to treat the pain rather than taken to a dentist.
From 18-25 I worked against doctor's orders, they made me take a year off work, and I figured I could still do it so went back in anyway. At the age of 24 I was thrown by a city bus, injuring my back and neck. I had married 4 days after my 18th birthday and my wife had started to go onto disability, I continued working again against medical and lawyers advice because someone needed to pay the bills; after she got the disability she served me with divorce papers. Before the bus accident I had started to get my teeth in order, I realized all the wear and tear I had put them through, and realized that the illness and hospitalizations had put me back through periods of neglect.
Now, for the past few years since moving back in with my parents; I have been searching for work and trying to get my life back together, hoping to find a position in life where I can once more give to others. I have: written to talk shows, entered contests, written to local dentists, written to the american dental association here in South Carolina, I have called a low income clinic who will charge me 36 dollars just for the X-rays and then make a treatment plan; but so far, have not been hired anywhere (otherwise I'd just pay for the work out of pocket myself, little by little as I could). I just really want my life back. I have offers to go to other states with friends, but don't want to go there with bad teeth and oral problems still existing and perhaps even more of a risk of not being able to get them handled.
My father is on disability, and my mother doesn't work. They are stretched thin on bills on each month; and I've done research into what losing your teeth this young does to your overall health, and even if that were a viable option; I couldn't afford it, either.
In my spare time I have been working on a: book, lyrics, poems, and other assorted work to keep my mind off of things; I've even sent the book out to agents hoping I could take a forward payment, put it into getting my teeth fixed, and then go from there. So far, no luck. I'm just at a loss as to what else to do. So, I came across this site and thought I might give it a try. If I had known all these things throughout my youth, I know I might still have some problems; Crohn's patients and Acid Reflux patients have problems with their teeth in general (something else I discovered through research that doctor's never told me). I would like to get this done, get on my feet, and continue into a life where I can pay anything done for me, forward. At the moment, I just don't know what else to do; and honestly, don't know what amount to put here, I wish I did.

I have lost fillings in two of my teeth. One is a bicuspid, and the side of that tooth sheared off when the filling fell out. The other is a molar, and will need a root canal--or I will need to get it pulled.
Up until I became an unemployed teacher, I had adequate dental insurance, and got regular check-ups and cleanings. I have not seen a dentist in over four years.
I am really scared that I will soon have extreme pain and/or sepsis. I cannot afford a dentist OR a doctor, so sepsis would assuredly result in my demise.
This image accompanying this listing is our current rehabilitation space.
Everything we do takes place in this one room. It must act as a triage area and hospital for injured wildlife, house recovering animals, hold medical, food, & bedding supplies plus records, as well as be the meeting center for a dozen volunteers and national wildlife call center. To say we have outgrown the space is an understatement.
Our new space is more than double the size and will enable us to care for wildlife in a more efficient and well equipped setting. These incredible animals deserve the very best and we will work hard to make sure that they get it.
The renovation project for the new space includes the following:
- replacing existing drywall and insulation
- repairing faulty plumbing
- replacing existing electrical system and adding additional service
- adding two solar tubes
- replacing existing window
- adding air conditioning and heating units
- adding utility lighting
- adding ceiling fans
- repairing concrete floor
- replacing washer/dryer unit
- adding wash basin unit
- painting roof with solar paint
- constructing intake area, treatment area, and housing units
- replacing existing garage door with walk-thru unit

About WildRescue, Inc.
WildRescue, Inc./Rabbit Rescue is a 501
(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by Diana Leggett. It serves the North Texas community.
Our organization's goals:
- Rescue and rehabilitate native Texas wildlife for return back to the wild
- Create and build appropriate caging and environments to house wildlife in our care
- Educate the public to coexist with our “urban” wildlife, and offer exclusion and inclusion solutions for nuisance animals
- Educate the public on the importance of a healthy ecosystem to support wildlife
The wildlife that comes through our doors numbers in the 600-900s each year. The majority of that wildlife is the eastern cottontail (our most fragile mammal), the fox squirrel, and the Virginia opossum.
We depend entirely on donations from individuals for our operating costs.

My two youngest daughters are turing 8 and 10 at the end of this month and I just can't afford to get them presents, school clothes, school supplies, gas money for all of our medical appointments as well as odds and ends for the month. If anyone could help me with any of these things, I would be forever grateful. I called a few local agencies for help for some of the expenses so I can maybe use the money for other things we need but so far no luck. Either there is no funding or a waiting list or something. Lately, my family seems to just fall through the cracks and I really want my girls to know they are not forgotten. They try so hard to help me especially lately because I have been so sick again. I know I sound desperate but I am running out of options and time. Anything would help at this point, a small donation, a gift card to one of my local stores/online store, birthday cards to the girls(they just love surprises in the mail), a small gift, school supplies, dish soap, scouring sponges, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, freezer bags, garbage bags, coupons, school clothing for my 3 girls, shoes, back packs, hawain theme party decorations for about 10 children for a small party, also all 3 girls share one small bedroom in our mobile home and there is no storage and it would help us so much with our morning routines if I could get us all organized by the time the school year starts. Well thank you so much for reading my wish and God bless all of you wonderful people here at Wishadoo, I don't know what I would do without you in recent months. Take care and I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer. Sincerely, Rebecca Lynn xoxoxox

I wish I had the guts to get off my butt & lose weight. I wish I could get back in touch with my creative side & start acting & writing again. I wish my soul mate would show up & be everything I've dreamed of AND be available. I wish I had enough money to cover my bills, get a new car, & to travel.
