This image accompanying this listing is our current rehabilitation space.

Everything we do takes place in this one room. It must act as a triage area and hospital for injured wildlife, house recovering animals, hold medical, food, & bedding supplies plus records, as well as be the meeting center for a dozen volunteers and national wildlife call center. To say we have outgrown the space is an understatement. Smile

Our new space is more than double the size and will enable us to care for wildlife in a more efficient and well equipped setting. These incredible animals deserve the very best and we will work hard to make sure that they get it.

The renovation project for the new space includes the following:

- replacing existing drywall and insulation
- repairing faulty plumbing
- replacing existing electrical system and adding additional service
- adding two solar tubes
- replacing existing window
- adding air conditioning and heating units
- adding utility lighting
- adding ceiling fans
- repairing concrete floor
- replacing washer/dryer unit
- adding wash basin unit
- painting roof with solar paint
- constructing intake area, treatment area, and housing units
- replacing existing garage door with walk-thru unit

You can donate online at WildRescue, Inc of Texas or, if you'd like to offer a donation of materials, you can give us a call at 972-891-9286.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

About WildRescue, Inc.

WildRescue, Inc./Rabbit Rescue is a 501
(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by Diana Leggett. It serves the North Texas community.

Our organization's goals:

- Rescue and rehabilitate native Texas wildlife for return back to the wild
- Create and build appropriate caging and environments to house wildlife in our care
- Educate the public to coexist with our “urban” wildlife, and offer exclusion and inclusion solutions for nuisance animals
- Educate the public on the importance of a healthy ecosystem to support wildlife

The wildlife that comes through our doors numbers in the 600-900s each year. The majority of that wildlife is the eastern cottontail (our most fragile mammal), the fox squirrel, and the Virginia opossum.

We depend entirely on donations from individuals for our operating costs.
