I've tried every avenue I know to get this done since five years ago and stumbled upon this site; I figured I would give it a shot as I've tried everything else, but before I go into the story, I figure it might help to know who I am.

Throughout my life I have tried to help and counsel others; whoever might need it at any specific time, to a degree, it has always been part of my own personal calling. I tend to be insightful and give answers that can get people back on the right track in their own lives, I've done this since I was a kid.

As for the story itself: My house was burned down at 17, the same year I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and Acid Reflux Disease. My parents were never big on keeping up with teeth, or teaching any children to take care of them. I began to when I hit 17 after having 2 removed from too much soda drinking and being told to use orajel to treat the pain rather than taken to a dentist.

From 18-25 I worked against doctor's orders, they made me take a year off work, and I figured I could still do it so went back in anyway. At the age of 24 I was thrown by a city bus, injuring my back and neck. I had married 4 days after my 18th birthday and my wife had started to go onto disability, I continued working again against medical and lawyers advice because someone needed to pay the bills; after she got the disability she served me with divorce papers. Before the bus accident I had started to get my teeth in order, I realized all the wear and tear I had put them through, and realized that the illness and hospitalizations had put me back through periods of neglect.

Now, for the past few years since moving back in with my parents; I have been searching for work and trying to get my life back together, hoping to find a position in life where I can once more give to others. I have: written to talk shows, entered contests, written to local dentists, written to the american dental association here in South Carolina, I have called a low income clinic who will charge me 36 dollars just for the X-rays and then make a treatment plan; but so far, have not been hired anywhere (otherwise I'd just pay for the work out of pocket myself, little by little as I could). I just really want my life back. I have offers to go to other states with friends, but don't want to go there with bad teeth and oral problems still existing and perhaps even more of a risk of not being able to get them handled.

My father is on disability, and my mother doesn't work. They are stretched thin on bills on each month; and I've done research into what losing your teeth this young does to your overall health, and even if that were a viable option; I couldn't afford it, either.

In my spare time I have been working on a: book, lyrics, poems, and other assorted work to keep my mind off of things; I've even sent the book out to agents hoping I could take a forward payment, put it into getting my teeth fixed, and then go from there. So far, no luck. I'm just at a loss as to what else to do. So, I came across this site and thought I might give it a try. If I had known all these things throughout my youth, I know I might still have some problems; Crohn's patients and Acid Reflux patients have problems with their teeth in general (something else I discovered through research that doctor's never told me). I would like to get this done, get on my feet, and continue into a life where I can pay anything done for me, forward. At the moment, I just don't know what else to do; and honestly, don't know what amount to put here, I wish I did.
