Wishadoo!'s Valentine WEEK Fundraiser (Fulfilled)

This quote defines the essence of Wishadoo!  It also defines me in many ways.  Years ago, as the idea for Wishadoo! took shape, I was driving along, thinking how some people are always wishing, some people are always doing...and there are many of us always wishing we could do, and then do more.

Voilà - the name "Wishadoo!" was born!  (Read more about Wishadoo! and my personal Wishadoo Story.)

I'm taking the opportunity today to tap into the spirit of love, open-heartedness and the power of a heartfelt wish to offer you a Wishadoo! video Valentine – sent from my heart to yours – which you can then send to as many people as you would like in the form of an e-card.  Please click the lovely winged-heart image, by Wishadoo! member, Molly Rice (please *like* her Facebook page!), to see the Valentine video card; you can send to others if you are a Wishadoo! member.

I am coming to you, virtual hat in hand (which, for anyone who knows me, realizes this is very, very difficult for me to do), asking if you will please help.  Any assistance you offer, be it financial or otherwise, is an investment in the ideals of Wishadoo! and the power of love, compassion and community; an investment in me; and it is also an investment in yourself and those you love. 

Maybe you would consider "gifting" Wishadoo! in another's name this Valentine's Day?  If this appeals to you, after making a donation (and signing into Wishadoo!), here is the perfect Valentine card to send the recipient of your generosity, inviting them to join us and letting them know of your gift offered on their behalf (or, I'm happy to send a card, informing them of your donation on their behalf; just let me know).

• Spread the word about Wishadoo! -- at Facebook, twitter, email your friends and family!  Just sending a link to this Wishlist post is one way to help, not only my wish to help this site grow come true, but inevitably helps others as well.  You can even embed the fundraising widget below in your website or blog.
• Sign the petitions at Wishadoo! and send others to our Petition Page to do the same.  We have partnered with Care2.com and offer petitions which are one way to work toward justice and less suffering in the world, and it generates a small amount of revenue for Wishadoo! as well.  Every little bit  helps. 
• The single most important thing you can do to help is to join Wishadoo!, if  you haven't already, and be sure to give permission to be part of our newsletter, which will start very soon!  It's free, easy and painless. 

All of these actions are a priceless gift to me and Wishadoo! 

I had hoped to have the first newsletter ready, announcing this Valentine fundraiser and outlining in a nice, neat manner all the tools and features already available at Wishadoo! – as well as let you know about all the really cool things which are just around the corner – but instead am immersed in focusing on a new hosting "home" for Wishadoo! which is neither a small nor expensive task.

Actually, Wishadoo! itself is like the foundation of a huge home that has many, many rooms...rooms of compassion where we seek to alleviate suffering; joy-filled rooms where dreams come true; rooms to gather to socialize, discuss, and brainstorm; rooms to plan and manifest what we've brainstormed about, and so much more.  What you see at the website now are just a few of those rooms, some of which have already been decorated and are serving their purpose quite nicely (Wishlist, Groups, e-cards), and other rooms ready or nearly ready for people to move in and decorate it as they so choose (Marketplace,  Auctions, Directory). 

Wishadoo! also has garden plots that I have been working on for years, which have been prepared for seeding, and now is the time to nurture those seeds and watch them grow, both here in our online world, as well as in our "real" world, in our daily lives. 

 I hope you will join me in making the various rooms feel like home, and in tending these Wishadoo! gardens with love and joy, with an ongoing harvest that shall yield fruit that is also full of love and joy and all that we wish for.
